Nanny Wanted - Kind, Reliable After School Caregiver For Elementary Aged Siblings In Downtown Kingston

Hello! Our happy, busy family of 4 is looking for help with after-school care for 2 elementary-aged kids beginning late April/May 2026 Practical details:

• days of week are flexible but overall consistency from week to week is valued
• school pick-up is at 3:20 pm and we are generally home by 5:45 pm
• our home and the school are both a short walk from Queen’s

Responsibilities:

• school pick-up and walk home
• assist with afternoon routine and kids’ growing-independence including:

• organizing their outdoor school things, unpacking bags/lunches etc.
• preparing a simple snack
• supervising and/or engaging them in creative play (their after school routine does not include screens … except perhaps to find a song for their dance routine or to confirm the number of bones a shark has (zero!) or who the best ever basketball player in the world was!)
• supporting them in preparing for any evening activities
• together with kids, clean-up activities as you go from one fun activity to the next and at end of day

-light tidying as needed (ex. unloading/loading dishwasher) Other important things:

• we currently have two fantastic Queen’s students helping us (they are going home for the summer and 1 is graduating) … our kids have so much fun with them and we’ve had great experiences working with students/recent grads!
• there is an opportunity to continue on in September (as well as occasional Summer hours) if interested!
• it is important to us that you feel comfortable and confident in our home and with our kids - we will do our best to help!
• we do not smoke and we expect you to also be a non-smoker
• there are no pets in the home
