The Role

Are you an organized, hands-on leader who knows how to keep materials, people, and priorities moving?

S3 Group Ltd. is looking for a Materials Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory functions while supporting the people and processes that keep production moving.

This is an opportunity for an experienced supervisor who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, developing employees, and taking ownership of a busy materials operation.

Key Responsibilities

As Materials Supervisor, you'll oversee the flow of materials throughout the organization and lead the team responsible for making it happen. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading day-to-day shipping, receiving, material handling, and warehousing operations
• Planning and coordinating inventory, purchasing, production support, and material requirements
• Managing and developing materials personnel through coaching, training, delegation, and performance feedback
• Monitoring inventory and material availability to help ensure production requirements are met
• Identifying opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, efficiency, and safety
• Developing and monitoring key performance indicators for materials operations
• Establishing and maintaining effective materials management procedures
• Working with other departments to address material requirements, priorities, and challenges
• Investigating materials-related incidents and contributing to improvements in workplace safety
• Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and other administrative requirements
• Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who can balance leadership, organization, and problem-solving in a fast-moving environment. You'll be a strong fit if you have:

• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience
• Proven leadership skills and experience coaching, training, and developing employees
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• The ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• The ability to work independently and take initiative
• A flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
• The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
