Hiring Unit: Department of Biology (Professor Hans Larsson) Position Summary:

• Produces educational content promoting palaeontology and sedimentary geology to form the basis of a website.
• Monitors and posts social media content (facebook, instagram, tiktok, etc) presenting this education content and live update on dinosaur fossil preparations and geological instruction (e.g. talk about sedimentary geology).
• Manages video and digital equipment, and coordinates their usage.
• Organizes individuals (up to 5 volunteers) to assist in content development.
• Constructs a physical display summarizing the palaeontology and sedimentary geology of Dinosaur Provincial Park.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

• Attention to detail.
• Experience with social media.
• Experience working in a fossil preparation lab.

Education/Experience:

• 2 years minimum of experience working in a palaeontology lab.
• First aid trainings and WHMIS an asset.
• Field experience.

Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec . Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
