Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of branches, regions, or operational business units, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong financial performance, and alignment with company objectives. You will work closely with regional leaders and support functions to strengthen operational excellence, build leadership capability, and help position First Onsite for continued growth across Canada.
As Vice President, Operations you are responsible for leading operational performance across multiple locations and teams. You will collaborate with Regional Leadership, Branch Managers, and support departments to ensure consistent execution, strong customer outcomes, and achievement of financial and operational goals. Your leadership helps create alignment across the organization while empowering teams to deliver their best work.
Each day you balance strategic planning with operational execution. You review performance metrics, analyze financial results, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You support workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development while helping teams navigate challenges and achieve business objectives. Whether driving operational improvements, supporting acquisitions and integrations, or partnering with leaders to strengthen performance, your influence helps shape the future success of the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, preferably in restoration, construction, property services, or a related service‑based industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading managers and multi‑site operations.
- Proven success managing operational performance, budgets, and profitability across multiple locations or business units.
- Experience leading change initiatives, process improvements, and operational growth strategies.
- Demonstrated success developing leaders and building high‑performing teams.
- Strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to interpret performance metrics and drive business results.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proven ability to lead through complexity and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
- Ability to travel up to 40% based on business needs and operational requirements.
- Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear.
