About Us
La Vitrine Bar & Kitchen is an intimate cocktail bar and small plates restaurant located in Toronto's Beaches. We focus on quality ingredients, thoughtful execution, and genuine hospitality. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Line Cook who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a small, collaborative team.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a quality-driven environment. You'll be responsible for food preparation, executing service, maintaining kitchen standards, and working closely with our culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items to our standards
- Complete daily prep and station setup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of every dish
- Follow food safety and health regulations
- Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and kitchen organization
- Work efficiently during service while supporting the rest of the team
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a restaurant kitchen
- Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
- Weekend and evening availability required
