Early Referral Services (ERS) Specialist

Description: Temporary Full Time We are looking for an Early Referral Services (ERS) Specialist. The Early Referral Services (ERS) Specialist will follow-up with both Plan Sponsors and Plan Members to obtain duly completed documentation, ensure the forms are fully completed and respond to any questions they may have on the claims process. They will also ensure the claim is accurately set-up on the system in accordance with the contract and any required group specific special features. What you will do

• Review system, claim documents and contract to confirm if eligibility requirements are met.
• Finalize expedited “eligibility” information.
• Accountable for the outreach call to Plan Sponsors and Plan Members within 24 hours of receipt of initial claim information.
• Responsible to communicate via phone calls and emails to verify any discrepancies, missing or unclear information from either Plan Sponsor or Plan Member.
• Responsible for declination letter to Plan Sponsor and Plan Member accordingly.
• File documents accordingly.

What you will bring

• Minimum of one year experience within a customer service environment.
• Strong and effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to understand complex instructions and basic contractual language.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Strong typing and data entry skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Demonstrates excellence in phone etiquette and client service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English would be considered an asset.
• Working experience within disability insurance is an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $37,300- $50,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
