Activities Desk Lead Hand - Winter 2026/27

Compensation Information: $22.45 per hour

Physical Requirement: Light; work activities involve handling loads up to 10 kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

• Familiarity with the local resort and surrounding area, or a willingness to actively learn and share that knowledge.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenges or resolving guest concerns.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience using RTP Point of Sale system and/or FareHarbor booking software.
• Experience acting as a shift lead or providing operational support to a team is considered an asset.
• Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
• Previous experience selling ski resort products, rentals, and activities.
• Customer service or sales training, or equivalent experience in a high-volume guest service environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing cash transactions, reconciling sales and performing daily cash-outs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily operations of the Activities Desk, including Ticket Windows when required.
• Serve as a role model for front-line team members by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to service excellence on every shift.
• Ensure the completion of daily opening and closing procedures and assist with shift coverage to support adequate staffing for breaks and lunches.
• Maintain organized and efficient work processes, including managing email folders and ensuring follow-ups are tracked and assigned appropriately.
• Perform daily administrative tasks for Resort Activities, including creating bookings, reviewing online orders, updating rosters, fulfilling orders, monitoring outstanding balances, and coordinating with internal departments and third-party activity providers.
• Coordinate activity bookings, including preparing guest lists and seating plans, distributing tickets, managing guest check-ins, and ensuring required waivers are completed.
• Oversee the Lost & Found process, ensuring team members follow proper procedures for logging, storing, and tracking items. Monitor organization and follow-up efforts to proactively reunite lost items with guests.
• Ensure the Activities Online Chatbot is actively monitored, report any issues or inaccurate information to Guest Services Supervisors, and assist guests directly when required.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing support to maintain service standards.
• Monitor cash floats and submit change orders as required.
• Support consistent communication across the team by confirming weekly updates are reviewed by all staff and providing feedback or suggestions for additional topics as needed.
• Deliver outstanding guest experiences across all communication channels by providing efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable service.
• Accurately use the RTP POS system, including booking activities, processing transactions, managing cash, and balancing floats and sales to system reports.
• Ensure sales accuracy across all products, including verifying guest eligibility for activities and applicable ticket types.
• Support a safe and respectful environment for both guests and employees by following all company policies and procedures.
• Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the Activities area, personal workstations and common areas.
