MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Coordinator on behalf of a well-established and respected real estate development and property management organization in Surrey, BC.

This is a 5-month contract opportunity supporting the close-out phase of a large multi-family residential project. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating deficiency management, turnover documentation, stakeholder communications, and project administration to ensure a seamless project completion process. There is potential for the contract to be extended based on project needs and individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team through the final stages of project completion in Surrey, BC
• Coordinate deficiency tracking, documentation, and follow-up with consultants, contractors, and trades.
• Maintain project records, correspondence, reports, and close-out documentation.
• Assist with occupancy, warranty, and handover processes.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, site visits, inspections, and stakeholder communications.
• Prepare meeting minutes and track action items to completion.
• Liaise with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Monitor project schedules and assist in tracking key milestones and deliverables.
• Support procurement, contract administration, and document control activities as required.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and project updates for leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Construction Coordinator, or similar role within the construction, development, or real estate industry.
• Experience supporting residential, commercial, mixed-use, or institutional construction projects is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with construction management software and document control systems is considered an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, contractors, and ownership groups.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
