An established and highly respected manufacturer within the industrial and power systems sector is seeking an experienced Senior Plant Manager to lead a large-scale manufacturing operation in British Columbia.
This is a key leadership opportunity for a commercially minded operations professional who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and has a strong track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high-performing teams.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee all plant operations with responsibility for safety, production, quality, delivery, financial performance, and employee engagement. You will play a pivotal role in shaping operational strategy, enhancing plant performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional manufacturing operations to achieve operational and strategic objectives
- Champion a culture of safety and zero incidents across the site
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and execute operational, productivity, and CapEx plans
- Coach and mentor operational leaders and plant teams
- Improve efficiencies across SQDIC metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost)
- Partner closely with supply chain, engineering, and commercial teams to support customer delivery and business growth
- Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Strengthen employee engagement and organisational capability
What We’re Looking For
- Progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Previous Plant Manager experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Proven experience implementing lean manufacturing methodologies
- Knowledge of ISO9001 standards
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to engineer-to-order or configured-to-order manufacturing environments
- Experience within electrical, industrial, or engineered products manufacturing would be advantageous
