Senior Manager, Expatriate Tax Serivces (Markham)

Job Overview
BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Expatriate Tax Services team. The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and training to the team in the preparation of Canadian and US individual tax returns
- Review Canadian and US individual income tax returns
- Day‑to‑day expatriate tax advice, including queries on items such as individual relocations, payroll benefit taxation and reporting, etc.
- Research and analyze income tax issues and review memoranda or client letters related to executive compensation, global equity plans, policy design, and other expatriate tax matters
- Work closely with the partner in charge of the practice to develop and support the team
- Explore future business opportunities with partners across Canada with respect to their clients
- Engage in business development initiatives to further grow the practice

Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Seven or more years of professional experience, part or all specializing in expatriate tax
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French and English are assets)
- Ability to collaborate with team members nationally
- Interest in contributing to the training and development of team members
Compensation
The expected range of compensation for this role is: $125,000 to $175,000.
