Senior Databricks Data Engineer Toronto

Join us as a Senior Databricks Data Engineer in Toronto, and lead the design and optimization of our data platforms. Utilize your expert skills in Databricks and Apache Spark to drive significant data initiatives. This role is integral to enhancing data processes, mentorship of engineering teams, and leveraging your expertise in data lakes related to financial risk data. You'll collaborate with finance and risk teams to interpret analytics requirements, ensuring high-performance data solutions that meet compliance standards. Your insights will directly influence our data modernization and migration efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable data solutions using Databricks
- Manage the enterprise data lake and warehouse
- Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large data volumes
- Work with Finance and Risk teams on analytics needs
- Lead data cloud migration and modernization efforts
- Extensive experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- Strong understanding of data lake structures
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala
- Familiarity with data governance practices
