Our client is an established organization within the healthcare sector seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in North York, Ontario. This is a 3-month contract opportunity supporting a Long-Term Care unit within a hospital environment. The position is fully onsite, five days per week.

Your New Role

As the Financial Analyst, you will support the organization’s financial and accounting activities within its Long-Term Care operations. You will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting financial information, supporting financial analysis, and assisting with accounting-related activities.

This role is well suited to someone with a strong educational foundation in accounting who is proactive, takes initiative, and is comfortable working within a structured healthcare environment.

What You Need to Do

• Review, analyze, and interpret financial information to support business and operational requirements.
• Assist with financial analysis and accounting-related activities for the Long-Term Care unit.
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Apply accounting knowledge when reviewing financial information and transactions.
• Support credit-related analysis and activities as required.
• Assist with financial reporting and other finance-related deliverables.
• Identify discrepancies or issues and proactively follow up to resolve them.
• Work collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholders within the organization.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
• Demonstrate initiative and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Support additional financial and accounting activities as required by the team.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, finance, or a similar function.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting concepts.
• Basic understanding of credit and credit-related financial considerations.
• Ability to review and interpret financial information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive personality with the ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and structured environment.
• Healthcare, hospital, or Long-Term Care experience is considered an asset but is not required.
• Ability to commute to North York and work onsite five days per week.

The position requires five days per week onsite, with an 8-hour workday and some flexibility around working hours.

Paid parking is available onsite.
