ABOUT THE ROLE
The Comprehensive Community Support Team (CCST) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. CCST is a community-based treatment program supporting individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, including those whose mental health challenges are influenced by substance use. Our approach is client-centred, recovery-oriented, and grounded in collaborative, team-based care.
As an Occupational Therapist with CCST, you will play a key role in supporting clients to build functional skills, enhance independence, and improve overall quality of life within their community.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education/Experience:
- Degree or equivalent from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and thorough knowledge of its Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
- Maintains/updates liability insurance on a yearly basis (as required by COTO)
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical occupational therapy experience in mental health, supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
Skills/Abilities:
- Proven expertise in assessment, treatment planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation of client outcomes
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team across a variety of community-based settings
- Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Assets:
- Membership in Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and/or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) is strongly encouraged
Conditions of Employment:
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- May be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation.
