Banff Centre Technical Director Position

Join Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity as Technical Director, overseeing all technical elements of performing arts productions. This full-time position focuses on leadership, budgeting, and technical execution. The Technical Director acts as a crucial link between artistic vision and logistical execution. You will direct technical departments, manage equipment, and collaborate on production designs. Your extensive experience in live performance and technical project coordination will enhance the quality of shows and programs at the Centre. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise technical production schedules and personnel
- Lead collaborative efforts with artistic and technical teams
- Manage technical assets and ensure proper maintenance
- Analyze costs for projects and oversee budgets
- Ensure workplace safety and training compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- At least five years of professional experience
- Proficient in CAD and technical design
- Strong project management and budget oversight skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
