About the Opportunity

• Code and process all accounts payable transactions, while ensuring costs are appropriately recorded.
• Prepare payments for invoices due for payment.
• Match payment documents to invoices and submit for approval.
• Submit payments upon approval and file paid invoices in the appropriate account’s payable files.
• Liaise with vendors and staff for appropriate supporting documentation and respond to inquiries regarding the status of payments as required.
• Review and reconcile payments made by credit cards ensuring appropriate supporting documents.
• Prepare and review financial results, including variance analysis. Clearly explaining key variances and drivers.
• Analyze/explain trends relating to key operational data
• Support reporting and provide key insights to Senior Accountant and VP, Finance as required.
• Support Job Closing and Costing Analysis review process.
• Support Accounts Receivable functions (preparing bank deposits, cash application, collections).
• Cross-trained on all aspects of payroll for hourly staff.
• Adhoc duties as per manager

About You

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field. Enrollment in CPA program is an asset
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with large data sets, experience with EPICOR is an asset
• 3-5  years of relevant AP, General Accounting, Financial Analysis experience -Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and present financial insights clearly & accurately.
• Ability to deliver excellent service at all levels internally and with external partners and stakeholders and to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Experience involving ASPE/GAAP and cost accounting principles is an asset.

Salary Range
$70,000 - 72,000 per year.
