Job Summary
Under the direction of the Environment Services Manager and under general supervision of the Dietary Lead Hand, the Cook is responsible for meal preparation and delivery in a manner consistent with all regulations as specified by the Long-Term Care Homes Act and related acts.

Requirements

• Successful completion of Food Service Worker program as mandated by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
• Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years experience in institutional food service and experience in large quantity food preparation and cooking.
• Completion of Certified Food Handling course through local Public Health Unit.
• Ability to lift 21kg or 50lbs.
