Preschool/PrePrimary Educator (Full-Time Contract Position) Armbrae Academy
Armbrae Academy is seeking an experienced and compassionate Preschool/PrePrimary Educator to join our early learning team. Founded in 1887, Armbrae is a co-educational Pre-School to Grade 12 university preparatory school with approximately 365 students. Guided by our “Be Kind, Work Hard” philosophy, the school emphasizes both academic excellence and character development in a supportive, close-knit learning environment. Armbrae is a member of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) and is accredited by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction using educational, play-based approaches aligned with Armbrae Academy standards.
- Lead activities including storytelling, songs, art, music, math games, language arts activities, and movement.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment and adapt strategies for diverse learners.
- Use digital tools (newsletters, slideshows) for professional family communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in co-curricular school life.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Nova Scotia ECE Diploma (Level 2 or 3) and valid First Aid/CPR "C".
- Current Child Abuse Registry and Vulnerable Sector Police clearances.
- Competence in using technology for educational content and newsletters.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to professional growth.
