Comercial/ Business Development Lead

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services ( . We are currently looking for a Comercial/ Business Development Lead to join our team in Toronto.

- Starting Date: ASAP

- Contract : Permanent, through Protecnium Canada.

- Language and Level Required: English, High-Intermediate (B2), Advanced C1 (Must) , Spanish (Native) (Must).

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, 2 hours of lunch break.

- Work Type: Remote

-Summary: m anage and commercially develop the Canadian commercial area, based on the business plan and the priorities and guidelines set by the Business Development Management, in order to achieve the established commercial volumes, targets, and performance indicators.

- Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing projects to ensure deadlines, quality, and client expectations are met.
  • Identify additional client needs and propose tailored solutions to expand collaboration.
  • Maintain communication with key client stakeholders to strengthen trust and continuity.
  • Monitor retention and satisfaction KPIs and act proactively to prevent client loss.
  • Drive business development within the assigned area.
  • Analyze the Canadian market to detect trends, regulatory changes, and new opportunities.
  • Study competitors and emerging sectors to anticipate demand.
  • Develop service diversification plans aligned with international client needs.
  • Collaborate with Management to define commercial expansion strategies.
  • Prepare competitive proposals ensuring profitability.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within established policies.
  • Support Operations in monitoring assigned personnel to ensure project viability.
  • Maintain CRM data and evaluate KPIs to drive improvements.
  • Lead active prospecting in strategic sectors across Canada.
  • Build and maintain a key contact network through associations, chambers, and events.
  • Identify and qualify leads to convert them into potential clients.
  • Support international marketing and brand‑positioning initiatives.
  • Design geographic expansion plans and identify strategic areas for growth.

-Requirements and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Business, or a similar field.
  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Business Development Area.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities, combined with innovation, creativity, and a results‑oriented mindset.
  • Availability to travel within Canada.
