We are seeking a Senior Technology Architect to lead the architecture and strategy for our Cloud Access Security Platforms and Proactive Risk Management pillars. In this role, you will be the technical lead for Security Service Edge (SSE) and network security modernization projects. You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable infrastructure across multiple environments, ensuring that our security posture aligns with organizational goals and evolving threat landscapes.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite)
Contract Duration: 10-month contract
Rate: $704.19-$737.2/diem

Responsibilities
Strategy & Architecture

Lead the architecture and strategy guidance for SSE and network security modernization.

Develop, recommend, and implement technical security architecture (hardware, software, database, and communications) for large, distributed, cross-platform environments.

Translate business requirements into comprehensive solution needs, preparing conceptual, logical, and physical models.

Ensure alignment with MITRE frameworks and SSE development and configuration standards.

Engineering & Implementation

Design and implement SSE technology platforms, including Palo Alto Prisma Access, Radware Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).

Provide engineering and operational support for network-security focused projects.

Manage cloud infrastructure network architecture, including security groups and network access control lists.

Execute firewall policy management and integration support for design-related changes.

Operational Excellence & Collaboration

Work with vendors to report issues, conduct research, and manage resolutions.

Create documentation to ensure appropriate operational processes and procedures are followed during business-impacting incidents.

Collaborate with security teams and external partners to assist in engineering and supporting platforms.

Guide stakeholders using ITIL methodology for design and implementation processes.

Qualifications
Network Security Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto Prisma Access, Radware WAF, CASB, and firewall policy management.

Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience with cloud infrastructure network architecture, specifically security groups and network access control lists.

Architectural Frameworks: Strong understanding of TOGAF, solution design frameworks, and documentation standards.

Agile Methodology: Experience working on Agile project delivery teams, including managing backlogs, user stories, Scrum ceremonies, and sprints.

Leadership & Strategy: Extensive experience developing and implementing technical security architectures in secure, large-scale environments.

Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical requirements and business objectives with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL processes to design and guide operational support structures.

Public Sector Experience: Previous experience in the public sector is considered a significant asset.
