Job Description

We are hiring part-time food service workers at Aramark Canada for Queen's Hospitality Services.

• Service with a Smile: Serve hot and cold meals on the line, ensuring portions are correct and presentation is appetizing.
• Keep it Sparkling: Maintain a clean and sanitized serving area, wipe down tables, and ensure the dining hall stays inviting.
• Point of Sale: Handle quick transactions at the register with accuracy and efficiency.

Safety First: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to keep our community healthy.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor and management team to adhere to health standards.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
• Adhere to the uniform policy
• Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
• Supervise the food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
• Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
• Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
• Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
• Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner..
• Serve a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Available to work days, evenings, weekends, late nights and holidays
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
• Previous customer service or food service experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Minimum 1-2 years experience

The pay range for this position is $20.55 - $20.55.
