Join us as a Human Resources Student for our BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings sector for 4 or 8 months starting in January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Being involved in and exposed to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, training and professional development and health & wellness
• Assisting with planning and executing career fairs
• Assisting with training coordination and facilitates course set‑up
• Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow‑up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation)
• Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow‑up items for the team
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments
• Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day‑to‑day tasks and assignments
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high‑degree of accuracy and professionalism

Pay Range: $20.14-$24.70

PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.
