The First Nations Health Directors Association (FNHDA) is looking to hire an experienced Learning Experience Lead to join the Centre for Indigenous Health (CIHL) team who will lead the curriculum development and instructional design for programming and courses for the CIHL. The CIHL builds Indigenous health and wellness leadership capacity to uplift the health and wellness of First Nations Peoples and communities. The successful candidate will utilize adult learning theories, instructional design principles, curriculum development principles and practices to meet learners' needs by creating meaningful and impactful learning experiences to meet the goals and values of the CIHL.

Title : Learning Experience Lead. Salary : $86,778 - $102,091 - $117,405 (pay range explained below) Contract : Permanent Hours : 37.5 hours, Monday- Friday (core hours- 9:00 am- 3:00 pm) Location : Coast Salish Nations of Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Waututh Nations - Metro Vancouver: Park Royal, West Vancouver - (Hybrid - minimum 50% in the office)

About the role This exciting position will lead the curriculum development and instructional design for programming and courses for the Centre of Indigenous Health Leadership (CIHL). The CIHL builds Indigenous health and wellness leadership capacity to uplift the health and wellness of First Nations Peoples and communities. The successful candidate will utilize adult learning theories, instructional design principles, curriculum development principles and practices to meet learners' needs by creating meaningful and impactful learning experiences to meet the goals and values of the CIHL.

About you To be successful in this role you will have -

• Undergraduate Degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Adult Education, Educational Technology, Training Design or Delivery, Curriculum Design or, Higher Education.
• 3-5 Years' experience creating and designing engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances learner retention and transfer.
• Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design models and curriculum development.
• Proven experience working with stakeholders and subject matter experts in the curriculum development/design process including, experience working with First Nations Communities/Partners.
• Experience with various Learning Management Systems, including thorough understanding of various Moodle modules, experience customizing Moodle functionalities and developing custom themes for Moodle including recent, relevant experience integrating plug-ins.
• Proven experience with Moodle API and integration with third party systems.
• Experience applying digital visual design skills (i.e. - Photoshop, Illustrator or, Dreamweaver) and the ability to storyboard.

You may have experience in:

• Working with Subject Matter Experts, Internal and External Stakeholders to implement the institution's curriculum development and design frameworks, ensuring curriculum relevancy and meeting quality assurance standards.
• Supporting and promoting bi-cultural (two eyed) practice based interdisciplinary curriculum initiatives.
• Leading curriculum development and design projects (i.e. - courses and programs) to ensure integration/consistency in all aspects of the institution's curriculum.
• Leading the development and implementation of the institution's academic and training programming involving the FNHDA and its partners.
• Making recommendations pertaining to policy, procedure, best practices and programming mix to the Director, FNHDA Member Learning and Development.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
