MES Support Specialist / QA - Industrial Automation

Reporting to the MES Support and Deployment Manager, you will play a key role in the stability and quality of the manufacturing solutions used across our global production sites. In this role, you will act as the primary technical point of contact for complex incidents (during regular hours and on-call), contribute to the validation of new features, and actively participate in the continuous improvement of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Provide Tier 2 application support for plants, perform root-cause analysis on complex incidents, and participate in the off-hours on-call rotation.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, and validation test scenarios for new MES features in collaboration with the development team.
• Prepare deployments, validate environments, and support hypercare activities during go-lives at manufacturing sites.
• Validate and adjust SCADA (Ignition) interfaces to optimize the user experience for shop floor operators.
• Collaborate with local production, quality, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between the MES and manufacturing systems.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in engineering (automation, software, electrical), industrial computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, combining support for mission-critical applications, software validation, and MES/SCADA systems.
• Strong analytical skills, rigor, autonomy, and excellent stress management during operational incidents.
• Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for end-users.
• Knowledge of Ignition, SQL, ITSM processes, or SAP (an asset).
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written). English proficiency is required as you will provide technical support and participate in deployments for manufacturing sites worldwide.
