Senior Hydrogeologist

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project – Mining Hydrogeologist to join their growing mining services team in British Columbia. This leadership role offers the opportunity to work on complex mining projects across Canada and internationally, while providing technical expertise, project leadership, client management, and business development support.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering hydrogeological solutions throughout the mining lifecycle, including feasibility studies, operations support, environmental assessments, water management, and mine closure planning.

Key Responsibilitie

• sLead hydrogeology programs for mining projects across all stages of the mining lifecycle
• .Manage large, multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with geotechnical, hydrology, environmental, and geochemistry specialists
• .Provide technical oversight for groundwater investigations, dewatering programs, seepage management, water supply development, and hydrogeological characterization studies
• .Review and oversee groundwater flow, geological, water balance, and water qualit y models
• .Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client expectations
• .Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the mining industry
• .Support business development initiatives, proposal preparation, and strategic growth opportunities
• .Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate hydrogeologists
• .Participate in site visits and field programs at remote mining locations within Canada and internationally

Required Qualificatio

• nsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related disciplin
• e.Professional designation with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) as a P.Ge o. o r P.En
• g.Minimu m 18 years of experien ce in hydrogeology, with significant exposure to the mining secto
• r.Strong understanding of mining-related environmental regulations and permitting requirement
• s.Demonstrated experience leading large-scale hydrogeological studies and mining water management project
• s.Proven success managing clients, project teams, and technical deliverable
• s.Established professional network within the mining industr
• y.Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• s.Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites and internationally as require
• d.Legal authorization to work in Canada without restriction
