It gives local retailers and organizations a credible, creative way to be seen, tell their stories and connect with customers, members and communities who care about home, food, gardening, nature, makers, sustainability and regional living.

This is not simply an ad-sales position.

You will ask smart questions and turn business challenges into strategic media and marketing opportunities backed by Harrowsmith Local and Moongate.

What You Will Do

• Meet with retailers, brands, associations and organizations to understand what they want to achieve.

• Open doors and build relationships with owners, marketing leaders, executive directors and community decision-makers.

• Find the strategic sweet spot where a client's goals, audience and story come together, then shape solutions that attract customers, engage members, promote events or amplify a bigger story.

• Match each opportunity with the right mix of Harrowsmith Local and Moongate capabilities.

• Present Harrowsmith Local advertising, sponsorship and partnership opportunities with energy and confidence.

• Manage opportunities from first conversation through proposal, negotiation, close and long-term account growth.

Who We Are Looking For

• A successful track record in advertising, media, marketing, retail partnerships or business development.

• The confidence to start conversations with owners and senior decision-makers.

• The creativity to think beyond a rate card and see a larger opportunity.

• An understanding of how print, digital, content, video, podcasts and social media can work together. Existing involvement with local Chambers of Commerce, BIAs and other business or community organizations is a definite asset.
