Director of FinOps Cloud Management

FinOps Weekly

Lead cloud financial strategy as the Director of FinOps in Toronto. Focus on cost optimization and governance while enhancing cloud financial management in a hybrid work model. This permanent, full-time role emphasizes leadership in building an enterprise FinOps program dedicated to sustainable cloud cost optimization. As Director, you will influence technical and business stakeholders, promote cost accountability, and track savings targets. Key partnerships with Engineering and Finance ensure a comprehensive approach to cloud expenditure and financial discipline. Key Responsibilities:

Own and evolve enterprise FinOps strategy and governance framework
Build cloud cost optimization pipeline for savings validation
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Establish ownership and accountability for cloud costs
Drive optimization across Azure compute and infrastructure

Requirements:

10+ years in cloud/platform technology, finance, or FinOps
3+ years in leadership roles at Director level or equivalent
Proven record of measurable cloud savings
Strong analytical skills and technical understanding of Azure
Excellent communication with executive-level stakeholders
