Nanny Wanted - Seeking Experienced Nanny Full Time (Short Term) And Intermittent Babysitting For Our 3 Year Old In Kitsilano, Vancouver

Are you a nurturing, energetic and reliable nanny looking for a short-term full-time opportunity in Vancouver which would lead to regular / periodic part-time child care? Our family is seeking an experienced nanny to care for our infant son for 40 hours per week M-F for two weeks in April while our nanny is away. We would like to hire someone who is interested in a long term relationship with our son and feels strongly about forming a lasting bond with our family. About Us: We are a loving family located in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver, with lots of parks and activities within walking distance. Our sweet, outgoing son recently turned 3! We love spending time with him and strive to provide him with a nurturing, stimulating and active life. My husband and I are both busy working professionals who prioritize the well-being of our family while balancing demanding career obligations. Our nanny is incredible and we all adore her. She has been in our lives for two years now and is almost like a third parent to our son. We value her being able to take vacation time throughout the year to see her family and travel with her husband, so it’s important that we find someone who is able to cover for her when she’s away and we are working. Job Responsibilities:

• Providing reliable care for our child in a safe and supportive manner.
• Engaging in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity and social development.
• Taking our child on outings such as going to the park, library, aquarium and play dates.
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for our child.
• Assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up play areas, loading the dishwasher and doing laundry.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a nanny or in a similar role (preferably with infants and young children).
• Ability to create a stimulating and engaging environment for our child.
• Energetic, active, playful, creative and safety-conscious.
• Fully vaccinated and able to provide resumé, references and criminal record check.
• First aid and CPR certification required.

Schedule:

• This is a full-time (short-term coverage) position of 40-45 hours/week, M-F specific hours to be discussed while our nanny is away for two weeks starting April 15th.
• Ideally, we would like this to ultimately lead to babysitting on occasional evenings and weekends and coverage for our nanny’s vacation time throughout the year.
