Sales and Business Development Associate

Job Responsibility:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead and support efforts across sales, business development, and procurement activities—including managing bids and proposals. This individual will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, preparing competitive proposals, building client relationships, and helping drive the company's strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Relationship Management

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify and pursue sales opportunities.

2. Actively engage in client outreach, presentations, and follow-ups to drive lead generation and conversions.

3. Track sales pipelines and provide regular reports on performance, forecasts, and market trends.

Bids, Proposals & Procurement

1. Identify and track public and private sector procurement opportunities (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs).

2. Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and bid responses in compliance with client requirements and deadlines.

3. Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary technical and financial input for bid documents.

4. Maintain a library of standard proposal materials and templates for efficiency and consistency.

Business Development

1. Research and analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential partnerships to support strategic planning.

2. Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives.

3. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's services and capabilities.

4. Support contract negotiations and onboarding of new clients or strategic partners.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

2. 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or proposal writing, preferred.

3. Demonstrated experience using procurement platforms such as MERX, Bids & Tenders, Ontario Tenders Portal (OTP), and other government and institutional vendor portals.

4. Familiarity with procurement practices in the public sector and financial institutions, including banks.

5. Strong knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write compelling proposals.

7. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/proposal software tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
