As a HSE Supervisor for PCL Constructors Canada Ottawa Ontario youll have the opportunity tomonitor and advise field activity compliance with multiple safety management systems (SMS) and legislative regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans regulatory requirements and other safe work practices.
• Identifies evaluates develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
• Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Recognizes evaluates and advises on hazard identification.
• Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
• Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
• Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
• Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Coaches trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Holds safety designation.
• 5 years experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset.
• Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Conflict resolution skills with the ability to problem-solve.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop influence and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability Status level.

This posting is for a new position within our organization.

The estimated salary range for this role is $84000 - $108000 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
