Job Responsibility:
The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for collaborating with internal and external customers to drive direct sales activities across Ontario. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the development, growth and performance of the inside sales representatives and will direct day to day activities of the inside sales team in maximizing profitability and growth, in line with the company vision and values. This position continuously works to improve sales efficiencies and processes to drive increased growth across the Service Center. Position Functions - Leads, coaches and mentors the Inside Sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
- Member of the Sr. Commercial Team
- Executes strategic business plan to drive growth in revenue and profitability with Service Center commercial team
- Reviews quotes and orders daily with Inside Sales team ensuring company goals are met
- Manage and prepare all training, performance reviews, action plans, travel and vacation requests for Inside Sales team
- Maintains contact with clients to a high level of satisfaction
- Participates with commercial team to develop and report on monthly forecasting
- Tracks and reports on sales won/lost, errors and RMA's and completes analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
- Works closely with shipping and production control regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments
- Communicates needs of various departments to the Inside Sales team
- Liaise with Credit Department regarding credit status of customers
- Authorizes and signs off on contracts ensuring company goals are being met
- Maintains files of active orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes
- Prepares paperwork (original purchase order, copies of invoice, and return goods memo) to be given to the Accounting Department for credit or debit to be issued
- Work closely with Outside Sales Representatives to develop new accounts
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements to streamline process and improve customer experience
- Attends industry events (OSSFA, MSCI, AWMI)
Working Conditions - Works primarily in an office environment - 40+ hours per week
- Sales presentations via one on one or conference call presentations
- Some travel required

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or related field combined with a minimum of 5 years experience in a sales/commercial leadership role Experience in structural steel industry preferred but as a minimum, construction products knowledge is a must Strong coaching, mentoring experience gained through several years of direct people management experience Demonstrated experience working with a CRM/ERP package Professional demeanor with a passion for winning Ability to communicate at all levels in an organization in a clear and efficient manner Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers A willingness to learn Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm Strong work ethic and accountability with an ability to work in team environment focusing on team success
