Remote Communications Specialist at Postmedia

Join Postmedia as a Communications Specialist in a full-time remote role based in Toronto, ON. Your expertise in content creation and media outreach will support diverse communications projects. In this position, reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, you will focus on internal and external messaging. You’ll be responsible for writing newsletters, media pitches, and social media content, while managing timelines and coordinating communications effectively. Collaboration and strong writing skills are crucial as you handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:

Write internal messages, press releases, and newsletters
Support online events with technical coordination
Distribute media releases and maintain media lists
Update WordPress and SharePoint corporate websites
Monitor media for trends and opportunities

Requirements:

Post-secondary education in Communications or similar
Relevant communications experience in a corporate environment
Strong writing and editing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital content tools
Experience managing online events
