Foundations Programs Coordinator

THE POSITION

The Foundations Program Coordinator supports programs pertaining to all CSEC foundations programs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Work to amplify the goals of the Calgary Flames Foundation while supporting current sports, education, and wellness programming.
• Coordinate deliverables from funding agreements and partnerships for all five CSEC foundations; this includes various donations, activations and programs for the Calgary Flames Foundation, Hitmen Foundation, Stampeders Foundation, Roughnecks Foundation and Wranglers.
• Work with Calgary Flames Foundation beneficiaries on fulfillment and activation of donations made.
• Coordination of program events, promotions and commitments to Calgary Flames Foundation-supported programs including but not limited to:
  • Flames PX3 Rollersled program and sledge hockey programs/events
  • Flames First Shift events and program
  • Flames and Flames Try Hockey programs
  • Floorhockey for Newcomers
  • Flames YMCA Grade 6 Program
  • Flames school programs: APPLE Schools, Reading… Give it a Shot, View email address on ca.edajobs.com, scholarships and more.
  • CSEC Inclusion Program partnerships
• Contribute to Calgary Flames Foundation and CSEC community/charity program creation, development and execution.
• Coordination of charitable and community Calgary Flames and CSEC game nights.
• Work alongside all five CSEC teams to activate and raise awareness for CSEC teams' community and Foundation work.
• Grant applications;
  • Manage the intake and review of Calgary Flames Foundation applications;
  • Manage Foundation inquiries from the general public and numerous charities.
• Communications;
  • Report on usage and impact of donations made and coordinate communications documents and assets, including;
    • Year-end and annual reporting
    • Awareness and advertising campaigns;
    • Social media and website planning and content creation;
    • Impact reporting on an average of $5 million in donations per year from the Calgary Flames Foundation along with CSEC teams' charitable investments.
• Administration:
  • Thank you letters
  • AGLC reporting
  • Tax Receipts
• Donor and Beneficiary Relations:
  • Management of relationships with beneficiaries, donors and program partners.
• Adherence to CSEC's four pillars;
• Active participation in the Safety Program and follow all safety rules;
• All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 1-3 years administrative or coordination experience preferred;
• Community investment or not-for-profit experience an asset;
• Experience managing donations, charity funds, or tax receipts an asset;
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors including individuals and organizations;
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure;
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with exceptional communication skills.
