Is reputable, full-service law firm in Downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a leading litigation partner and a high-performing litigation team on complex commercial litigation matters, including fraud, cyber-related disputes, and emerging digital asset issues.
- Support sophisticated, high-stakes litigation files from early strategy through to resolution, including motions, evidentiary analysis, and case management.
- Conduct advanced legal research, develop litigation strategy, and prepare written advocacy materials in complex commercial disputes.
- Manage and run significant portions of litigation files with increasing autonomy, acting as a key support to senior counsel on busy matters.
Qualifications
- Called to the Ontario Bar, with approximately 3 to 6 years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong background in litigation with exposure to complex commercial disputes.
- Exposure or interest in cyber fraud, blockchain, digital assets, securities or financial disputes considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, document-heavy and procedurally complex files.
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and ability to operate independently without needing foundational training in litigation mechanics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, intellectually curious, and comfortable working in a high-performance, high-expectation environment.
