Are you looking for an exciting challenge with a well-established Canadian company? A major player in the distribution of electrical equipment and supplies is currently seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Clerk to join their team in Ville Saint-Laurent!

This is a temporary assignment, ideal for covering a parental leave (duration of 3 to 4 months, with a strong possibility of extension).

Advantages
Position: Purchasing & Inventory Clerk

Location: Ville Saint-Laurent (Montée de Liesse area)

Status: Full-time, temporary contract (3 to 4 months+)

Schedule: 37.5 hours / week, Monday to Friday

Choice of shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25.00 / hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
Data Entry & Information Management:

Accurately enter data related to stock replenishment, inventory adjustments, and material relocations.

Update supplier price lists and product files in the system.

Prepare, process, and maintain purchasing files, inventory reports, and electronic records.

Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders (POs).

Source price quotes from suppliers and follow up on deliveries.

Resolve delivery delays or discrepancies and forward invoices to accounts payable.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate stock levels using software systems (ERP and Excel).

Perform regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts).

Enter data for stock adjustments, price updates, and stock replenishment.

Qualifications
Bilingualism (French / English) required (written and spoken for external communications with colleagues based outside of canada)

Around 3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or warehouse operations (or equivalent DEP/DEC diploma).

Strong proficiency with computer software (ERP systems) and MS Office (Excel).

Physical ability to move around the warehouse and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Rigor, autonomy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
