Lead Research Program Director at CIFAR

Elevate research impact as the Research Program Director at CIFAR. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with strategic oversight on vital research initiatives. Your responsibility as the link between CIFAR and its researchers involves managing 4-5 interdisciplinary programs and facilitating collaboration among top experts. You’ll contribute to shaping the research portfolio strategy, ensuring support for impactful goals, and enhancing engagement. The role requires a Ph.D. and a proven background in research policy or administration. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to advance intellectual goals
- Cultivate strong partnerships with program members
- Develop and support public engagement initiatives
- Oversee portfolio operational delivery
- Track program budgets and ensure funding compliance
- Ph.D. in natural, social sciences, or humanities
- 3-5 years of relevant administration experience
- Expertise in project management
- Ability to build trust across diverse cultures
- Current understanding of the research ecosystem
