Job Responsibility:
We are looking to hire a Moving Crew Member at our Burnaby location.
Donation Crews pickup building supply and furniture donations from residential and business donors in Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley The role is ideal for those who love to working with little supervision, staying active, embrace technology, all while supporting a local non-profit.
Candidates must be available for work Monday to Friday during daytime hours. Occasional evening or weekend work is required. Compensation is $18.00-19.00 per hour based on experience and ability.
Working at a Habitat for Humanity Restore you will have a role in helping hardworking families break the cycle of poverty through home ownership. The Restore retail stores are a social enterprise that help cover Habitat's overhead costs so donations can go directly toward helping more families achieve home ownership.

Role of Crew Member
- Inventory Control.
- Warehouse Operations.
- Assist the Driver in all aspects of the donation pickup process - navigating to the pickup, identifying items for donation, loading and securing in the truck, tagging the product, completing the work order, and unloading items at Habitat's retail stores
- Using safe work practices, lift, carry, and transport donated building supplies and furniture from the customer's home or business to the truck.
- Secure products in the truck for transport.
- Unload donated items at Habitat for Humanity retail locations
- Update electronic work orders as jobs are completed
- Contact Customers in advance to confirm next day pick-up of donated items
- Acting as a representative of Habitat for Humanity during all donation pickups
Job Requirements
- Be familiar with Excel, should be able to use a smartphone.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, pushing and pulling 50 lbs. or greater on a regular basis
- Be punctual and reliable
- Demonstrate problem solving skills
- Able to use apps on a smartphone
- Take direction from Driver or other crew members
- Follow safe work practices
- Possess a strong work ethic and a positive team attitude
- Able to work in all weather conditions
Assets
- Experience working in a warehouse or as a mover
- Forklift operator
- Class 5 driver's license
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
