Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Negotiation Governance Lead to manage complex site contract and budget negotiations for clinical trials, serve as final escalation point for contracting operations, and provide team training and quality oversight.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of BMS Sponsored Research Agreements with investigators and institutions, managing complex escalated negotiations
- Develop, negotiate, and oversee site and country-level budgets aligned with global standards and strategic objectives
- Develop global strategy to accelerate contract negotiations and drive efficiencies with clinical research centers
- Serve as final escalation point for legal and budget issues in site contracting operations and provide direct negotiation support
- Train, mentor, and provide quality oversight to team members; identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
Requirements
- 7+ years direct experience negotiating clinical trial contracts, preferably in pharmaceuticals
- Advanced knowledge of global contractual standards, governance frameworks, and fallback language libraries
- Strong understanding of legal, financial, and compliance requirements in clinical research agreements
- Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lead, mentor, and train team members on negotiation best practices
- Fluency in English and French; contract management systems and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, business administration, life sciences, or related field
