Construction Project Coordinator—6- to 8-Month Contract

Our client, a Canadian industrial maintenance company, is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator for a 6- to 8-month contract based in Sainte-Sophie.

The work is primarily on-site, supervising subcontractors.

Work Location: Sainte-Sophie

Schedule: Monday through Friday (occasionally Saturday), 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; availability for overtime; minimum 40 hours per week

Salary: $55 to $60 (negotiable)

Responsibilities:

-Ensure coordination among contractors, professionals, and relevant organizations;

-Act as an intermediary between the various project stakeholders;

-Monitor the execution of work in accordance with contractual and technical documents;

-Track deliverables and activities to prevent delays on the job site;

-Plan, coordinate, and participate in coordination and job site meetings;

-Prepare daily reports detailing, among other things, work in progress, contractors present, the number of workers, job site conditions etc.

-Monitor contractors’ overall schedules and short-term timelines;

-Analyze and track technical change requests;

-Track change-related costs and contractor bids;

-Track change requests and change orders, as well as related documentation;

-Enter and update data related to changes in project tracking systems;

-Coordinate work that impacts the client organization’s operations;

-File and archive technical and administrative documentation for the construction site;

-Collaborate with the project team to ensure consistency in project management;

-Help prevent and resolve conflicts and disputes;

-Participate, when required, in the approval of payment requests;

-Participate in commissioning activities and monitor their progress;

-Participate in project acceptance inspections and follow up on deficiencies;

-Monitor project completion documentation;

-Monitor the correction of deficiencies and project closure activities.

-3 to 5 years (minimum) of experience in various areas of construction, civil engineering, building construction, mechanical engineering, and HVAC.

Ability to work independently and provide guidance to others
