POSITION: Refrigeration Technician

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta

SALARY/WAGE: $30.00-$50.00/hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Indoor Elements Mechanical in the recruitment of a Refrigeration Technician(Journeyman or 3rd Year Apprentice) to join their team in response to a growing workload.

This role is ideal for a skilled Journeyman or motivated Apprentice who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering exceptional service across both residential and commercial HVAC systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC systems

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of HVAC equipment

• Repair or replace defective components (compressors, motors, controls, etc.)

• Install new HVAC systems and complete retrofits on existing equipment

• Maintain accurate documentation of service visits, materials used, and work completed

• Communicate clearly with team members to support efficient scheduling and customer service

• Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and industry standards

• Interact with customers in a courteous, professional manner, explaining findings, repair options, and pricing
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Journeyman certification or registered Apprentice status (3rd year or higher preferred)

• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism
