Senior Property Manager

The ideal candidate has strong experience in leasing and tenant relations, understands the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL) process, and is comfortable being directly involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of residential rental properties
• Rent available units and handle the full leasing process, from inquiries to lease signing
• Conduct regular building and unit inspections and identify maintenance or safety issues
• Manage tenant communications, requests, complaints, and follow-ups
• Handle rent collection and follow up on outstanding balances
• Manage tenant files, notices, lease renewals, and documentation
• Handle TAL-related matters, including preparing documentation and attending hearings when required
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, contractors, and service providers
• Follow up on work orders and ensure repairs are completed properly and on time
• Conduct move-in and move-out inspections
• Identify building issues before they become major problems
• Ensure properties are clean, safe, well-maintained, and properly managed
• Respond to urgent property issues when required

Required

• Proven experience renting residential apartments
• Previous property management experience
• Experience dealing with the TAL (Tribunal administratif du logement)
• Strong understanding of residential leasing and tenant relations
• Experience conducting building and unit inspections
• Strong hands-on property management skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple buildings and priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation is an asset
• French and English required

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and accountable . This is not a desk-only position. You should be comfortable walking buildings, inspecting units, meeting tenants, showing apartments, coordinating repairs, dealing with contractors, and addressing issues directly.

You should be able to spot problems, find solutions, and follow through without needing to be constantly supervised.
