Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days per week on-site)

Position Summary

EDC requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to support our Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Action Plan . Leveraging EDC’s project management tools and framework, you will provide strategic and practical project management support to help formalize our reconciliation commitment, align stakeholders, coordinate work across VP-led workstreams, and build internal readiness. 

This critical role requires exceptional judgment, cultural humility, deep sensitivity to Indigenous relations and reconciliation, and the ability to operate successfully in a complex enterprise environment alongside executive sponsors, VP leads, Indigenous Employee Resource Group (ERG) representation, internal subject matter experts, and external consultants. 

Key Responsibilities

Project & Resource Management

• Support Business Leads to prioritize and achieve project outcomes, communicate progress, manage and mitigate risk, log decisions, and foster a collaborative environment. 
• Guide the delivery team and related stakeholders to achieve quarterly and annual outcomes. 
• Proactively manage project costs within the Planview application, providing accurate forecasts and variance narratives at key review points. 

Planning, Execution & Risk Management

• Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and ensure foundational milestones are fully met. 
• Ensure all operational activities are identified, organized, and properly resourced. 
• Identify, assess, escalate, and actively assist with the mitigation of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints. 
• Maintain comfort utilizing both predictive (waterfall) and agile ways of working across multiple toolsets. 

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Coordinate cross-functional work and seamlessly manage interactions among cross-functional teams. 
• Partner closely with internal subject matter expert teams, IT groups, and potentially external vendor/system integrators. 
• Oversee overall project health, including invoice validation, timesheet processing, and material preparation for steering committees. 
• Consolidate and align information from multiple sources to provide accurate, relevant updates and action-oriented recommendations for key stakeholders. 

Specific Project Requirements

Organizational Change: Support enterprise-level organizational changes involving senior executives, cross-functional teams, and governance forums. 

Cultural Sensitivity: Handle all deliverables with the highest degree of cultural humility, respect, discretion, and acute sensitivity to Indigenous perspectives. 

Collaborative Ecosystems: Coordinate seamlessly with internal subject matter experts, Indigenous ERG representatives, communications partners, HR, sustainability/risk, and external Indigenous relations consultants. 

Executive Advisory: Support executive and VP-level conversations by translating complex or sensitive issues into clear, actionable advice and polished materials. 

Target Alignment: Plan for quarterly targets and dynamically update plans to align with actual project states. 

Facilitation: Facilitate highly collaborative planning and working sessions with cross-functional groups. 

Skill & Qualification Requirements

Top Required Skills

• Senior-Level PM Expertise: Proven senior-level project management experience coordinating teams and resources to deliver high-stakes outcomes according to plan. 

Enterprise Delivery: Demonstrated experience supporting complex, enterprise-wide initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders, workstreams, and governance needs. 

Facilitation & Engagement: Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, specifically supporting executive sponsors and VP-level leaders. 

Executive Communications: Advanced written communication skills, with a track record of creating executive-ready materials, change plans, and reporting inputs. 

Strategy Translation: Ability to translate abstract strategy into practical project activities, workplans, and concrete deliverables. 

Experience Assets & Certifications

Years of Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of dedicated experience in project management. 

Project Management Certification: PMP certification (PMI) is highly preferred. 

Niche Domain Experience: Prior experience supporting Indigenous relations, reconciliation action planning, Indigenous engagement, or related corporate responsibility initiatives. 

Reconciliation Frameworks: Familiarity with reconciliation frameworks, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, UNDRIP, FPIC, PAIR, or Indigenous economic inclusion. 

Target Industries: Experience working in or with Crown corporations, public-sector organizations, financial institutions, or heavily regulated environments. 

Technical Toolsets: Hands-on familiarity with the Planview application and Azure DevOps .
