Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of the rating engine for fleet and garage auto using the Earnix platform.
• Work closely with actuarial teams and business partners to develop the new pricing engine.
• Provide expertise on databases, programming languages, and modeling software to support actuarial strategic objectives.
• Cultivate relationships with business partners, analyze needs, and design innovative solutions for complex challenges.
• Provide input to the Pricing leadership team to assist in developing the line‑of‑business strategy and roadmap.
• Coach, guide, and give consistent feedback to indirect reports.
• Support the department in offering a best‑in‑class, professional work environment that values learning, sharing knowledge, and innovation.

Required Qualifications

• Five years of relevant experience in the property and casualty actuarial field.
• Post‑secondary degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
• Expert knowledge of actuarial pricing principles, concepts, and theories; basic understanding of corporate actuarial concepts relevant to pricing (e.g., capital allocation, reinsurance).
• Ability to identify and resolve moderately complex business problems.
• Analytical mindset with sound judgment for design, testing, and reconciling to business needs.
• Strong understanding of auto legislation in all provinces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to complete ACAS/ACIA or FCAS/FCIA designations.

• Background check required.
• Proficiency in English; position mainly interacts with majority non‑Francophone groups located outside Quebec.
• Non‑French duties are not assignable to other team members.

Salary

Expected salary range $104,717 - $154,700+. The salary will be determined at hire based on local market conditions, geography, and relevant experience, skills, education, and performance. Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance or other metrics.
