Technical Director in Game Development
Offworld Industries Ltd.
Shape game development at Offworld Industries as a Technical Director. Lead technical vision for multiplayer gaming using Unreal Engine 5 and engage in deep mentorship across teams. As Offworld's Technical Director, you will interact with Lead Programmers and external teams to define the architectural strategy for large-scale multiplayer games. Your deep knowledge of C++ and systems integration will drive the project’s success. You’ll enforce coding standards while facilitating collaboration among diverse technical disciplines. Key Responsibilities:
- Owning overall technical strategy for game titles
- Guide architecture in Unreal Engine 5 projects
- Mentor and align programming teams for collaboration
- Prioritize work and assess technical risks
- Ensure adherence to project technical milestones
- 2+ years in Live Service operations
- Expertise in C++ and multiplayer architectures
- Proven leadership in setting technical standards
- Experience with service integration and outsourcing
- Strong strategic partnering with production teams
