Nanny Wanted - Looking For Part Time Childcare/Respite With Experience Working With Neurodivergent Kiddos.

We are a fun, loving, and lively family with two boys (ages 7 and 9), a dog, and a cat. Our oldest is autistic with ADHD and anxiety. He is bright and funny, but needs significant emotional regulation support, flexibility, and a low-demand approach. We are looking for a nanny/support worker to join us approximately 1-2 days/week. We are located in Bridgewater Forest. This is not a traditional childcare role. A large part of the job involves connecting with our son through his interests, especially video games, while helping him stay regulated, supported, and emotionally safe throughout the day. Responsibilities: Engaging in child-led activities including video games, creative play, and low-pressure learning opportunities Supporting emotional regulation and adapting plans when needed Helping maintain a calm, positive environment Assisting with light household tasks such as laundry, tidying toys, and simple meal prep About You: Patient, calm, flexible, and emotionally attuned Comfortable with neurodivergent children and behavioural/emotional challenges Able to connect through shared interests and low-demand interaction Familiarity with Minecraft, Roblox, or gaming culture is a bonus (but don’t worry, he loves to teach!) Reliable, warm, and proactive Our home can be busy, chaotic, and energetic, and we value someone who can go with the flow and genuinely enjoys building connection with kids.
