Hybrid with 12 days on‑site per month.
Role Summary
Windows Support Engineer supporting critical infrastructure and applications across on‑premises and cloud environments. Provide Level 2 support via ServiceNow and maintain Windows Server 2016–2022 environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for on‑premises and cloud Windows servers.
- Create and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, and Azure tools.
- Develop and update SOPs and technical documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis on incidents.
- Collaborate with application owners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure platform stability and performance.
- Participate in change management, create Visio diagrams, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a large‑scale, highly secure production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain one (minimum 5 years residency in Canada).
- Strong experience administering Windows Server, Microsoft Group Policy, and Microsoft SCCM.
- Proficiency in performance and capacity monitoring for critical systems.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Ansible, Terraform, Azure.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Ansible playbooks.
- Experience with change management and support documentation.
