Receptionist & Office Assistant

Advocate Law is a busy, full-service law firm that has served Moose Jaw and the surrounding area for many years. We are looking to add a hard-working, energetic, and dedicated person to our team.

We are currently seeking to fill our legal secretary position. This position allows for daily interaction with the public and clients, and it offers the potential for advancement within our organization into a Legal Assistant position.

The primary duties of this position include greeting clients, answering and directing calls, processing payments, completing general administrative tasks, and making daily deliveries within Moose Jaw. Experience in a law office is an asset but is not required, as on-the-job training can be provided.

A valid driver's license is required.

The successful candidate must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling client information.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Excellent verbal communication;
- Excellent telephone skills and familiarity using a multi-line phone system;
- Excellent written communication;
- Computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, QuickBooks and an eagerness to learn our specialized legal software;
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced and at times stressful environment; and
- Task planning and organization.
