Electrical Engineer for Substation Design

Stantec’s Power team is seeking an Electrical Engineer specialized in Power Systems. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in detailed design for high-voltage substations. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, focusing on engineering studies, design coordination, and compliance with project schedules while ensuring cross-discipline collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering studies on power flow and short circuit analysis
- Design substations with detailed schematics and layouts
- Prepare specifications for major equipment installation
- Provide procurement, construction, and commissioning support
- Mentor junior engineers in technical discussions
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization)
- 6+ years in high-voltage substations design
- P.Eng certification required
- Proficient in engineering software tools
- Valid driver's license required
