Bartender

At Subterra, the bar is a stage. Each cocktail is a creation, every gesture is mastered, and every interaction is intentional. We are looking for a bartender capable of embodying this standard and transforming each service into an experience.

The bartender must animate the bar with precision and creativity, ensure the excellence of cocktails, and provide an immersive customer experience, while leading the team and operations.

Responsibilities

• Organize a rigorous and impeccable setup

• Ensure consistency and quality of cocktails and beverages

• Provide precise, smooth, and mastered service

• Maintain strict adherence to preparation and service standards

• Be a technical and creative reference

• Create an elegant and immersive atmosphere

• Offer refined recommendations based on customer preferences

• Convey the bar's identity through storytelling and presentation

• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards

• Maintain an immaculate workspace at all times

• Supervise stock and product management

Working Conditions

·       A bar with a strong identity and creativity, allowing freedom of expression in creations

·       •A demanding and inspiring environment within a dynamic and innovative hotel group

·       Variable working hours, generally requiring evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.

·       Position requires long hours standing.

·       Work may be performed under pressure during peak hours and requires handling demanding clientele.

·       Weekly hours may vary according to tourist season, but it is a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week).

Compensation is at minimum wage plus industry tips, and bartender tips are determined according to SonoLux's tipping policy.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

·       Proven experience in a cocktail bar or upscale establishment

·       Excellent mastery of mixology techniques

·       Customer service aptitude, ability to manage difficult clients, and conflict resolution

·       Knowledge of hospitality techniques

·       Verbal communication skills, nonverbal decoding, and active listening

·       Professional attitudes and behaviors (teamwork skills, autonomy, creativity, dynamism, charisma, honesty, integrity, versatility, initiative and responsibility, attention to detail, organizational skills, patience, etc.)

·       Good stress resilience

·       Bilingualism (French and English). Mastery of other languages is an asset

·       Ability to handle monetary transactions

·       Knowledge of characteristics of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

·       Knowledge and application of basic health and safety principles, as well as hygiene and sanitation
