We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Service Department based out of our Brampton office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support mechanics with daily repairs, troubleshooting, and complex technical issues.
- Coordinate repair priorities and monitor work orders to keep jobs on schedule.
- Track mechanic productivity, repair downtime, turnaround times, and outstanding work to identify delays and improve shop efficiency.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial truck and trailer refrigeration units, including Carrier and Thermo King.
- Diagnose mechanical and refrigeration issues, read schematics, recharge systems, and perform preventative maintenance.
- Monitor repair quality, safety, and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to shop workflow and productivity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair, preferably with commercial refrigeration units.
- Strong knowledge of trailer mechanics, refrigeration systems, and diagnostics.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating mechanics.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to track productivity, downtime, and repair progress.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Valid driver's license and strong problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.
