Job Responsibility:
Join the Shambhala Music Festival Team as a Public Safety Administrator!
Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of others? The legendary Shambhala Music Festival is seeking skilled public safety administrative personnel to join our team and ensure the success of this year's festival. We have two positions available:
- HSE Administrator - Starting ASAP and stretching through until the end of July.
- Public Safety Admin - From July 23 to July 30, with possibility to extend after showtime.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Maintain and organize safety documentation, records, and reports.
- Monitor compliance with festival safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and document safety training sessions for festival staff.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to safety-related inquiries and provide guidance to festival staff.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with various festival departments to ensure cohesive safety practices.
- Support the public safety team with administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and communication.
- Attend safety briefings and meetings to stay updated on procedures and protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) administration or related field.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to ensuring a safe festival experience for all.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Previous experience working at festivals or large events is an asset.
